Understanding Domain Propagation Print

  • 0

When you update your nameservers or DNS records, it can take some time for those changes to take effect everywhere. This process is called domain propagation.

Propagation happens because internet servers around the world need time to update their cached information. It usually completes within a few hours but can take up to 24 hours in some cases.

During this time, some people may see your old website or experience temporary loading issues — this is completely normal.

You don’t need to take any action while propagation occurs. Once it’s finished, your domain will point correctly to your updated settings automatically.
